Apologies for the lack of the Maverick over the recent week.
A recent heavy schedule has kind of got in the way. Hopefully this week we’ll
be back with a bang and get you those differential points than can gain you
that vital green arrow.
This week we look to one of the great premier league double
acts, there was Shearer and Sutton, Yorke and Cole and in more recent times
Suarez and Sturridge. Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan have been terrorising
defences for many a year and Swansea’s visit to Upton Park and the frontman’s
return to fitness can reunite this partnership once again.
Owned by 0.1% of the FPL managerial population he has the
potential to be a great differential. We all saw what an impact Diafra Sakho
made on the premier league and if Andy Carroll can find his shooting boots then
he can surely hit the points trail in just the same way. At 6.9m he comes in
more expensive than Sakho but provides in my opinion a more reliable points
source than the Hammers’ latest recruit.
Trips to the King power and a home visit of Sunderland will
hold no fears for the unit that is Carroll and will be expecting to open his
account in the very near future with the likes of Downing and Valencia crossing
on the flanks and the wiley fox Nolan in the box linking up with the big man’s
knock downs.
If you’re tired of Welbeck or can’t quite afford Bony and
the likes. Maybe it’s time for a festive Carroll?
