#FlyBuy - GW22

Well, last week's pick, Angel Di Maria, flopped along with the rest of the Man Utd team in an embarrassing home loss to Southampton. Furthermore, not one of the Utd team managed to register a single shot on target during the match. Di Maria, will inevitably come good, and in FlyBuy terms he has another 4 weeks in which to turn in a decent return of points...

Gameweek 22 should see the return of some FPL big-hitters. Aguero made his long awaited return last time out, and surely will start against Arsenal at the Etihad. From Arsenal's point of view, Wenger has eased Walcott back in gently with a couple of substitute appearances. He now appears to be doing the same with World Cup winner Mesut Ozil, and this week will probably also see the return to the matchday squad of Aaron Ramsey. There's some serious FPL points in those three alone. However, I picked Walcott a couple of weeks ago so he is still active, and I think its too soon to go with Ozil or Ramsey.

Instead of a player returning from injury then, I'm going to turn my attention to a player who has been in and out of the team, but with a new manager now at the helm, he may be playing himself back into favour. This is a guy who I picked in my Ultimate FPL squad in gameweek 1 - that's how confident I was that he would have a decent season. However, a managerial change at the start of the season saw his playing time limited to late cameos, or being hooked early.

The team I am referring to is Crystal Palace, and with Neil Warnock now out of the way after failing to realise that when your team are struggling for goals, the best idea would be to play your best striker. Probably the reason he is now back on Talksport and Alan Pardew jumped at the chance to return to his old stomping ground where he is guaranteed to be treated better by the fans than he was at Newcastle.

The player in question is Dwight Gayle, who has scored three times in the three games in which he was allowed to start. With the loan signing of Yaya "No, not that one" Sanogo from Arsenal, if they hit it off quickly they could be a very effective strike partnership in the second half of the season.

I believe that if they get playing time, they will pull Palace clear of the relegation zone where they are currently hovering just one point above the dreaded bottom 3. With Gayle's next 5 fixtures reading as bur/EVE/lei/NEW/ARS I think there could be at least 3 or 4 goals in him if he gets the service he needs.
