After last week’s fail of Emmanuel Adebayor at Villa Park we get back on the donkey and search for more fantasy premier league points. (We aren’t picking Ade again though!)
Looking through the fixtures and potential david vs goliath battles sees us travel to Loftus Road and the visit of the champions. With talisman Vincent Kompany ruled out and Manchester City going through what only can be described as a sticky patch QPR have shown a recent upturn in form and they won’t make it easy for city to dominate the game and take all three points back to Manchester.
Looking at Austin’s ownership he comes in at 1.1% and valued at 5.7m he definitely offers a differential to all those Berahino/Sakho owners out there. You may be surprised that after a recent excellent points return over the last three games that Austin is the 6th highest scoring forward in FPL this season on 44 points tied with Ulloa with only the two aforementioned players and the heavy hitting Aguero, Costa and Pelle surpassing the QPR man. Austin has returned points in 4 of the last five gameweeks and 3 goals in 2 outings so is a man on a hot streak!
After the visit of city the next six fixtures look fairly bright with the schedule looking like this:
new, LEI, swa, BUR, eve, WBA
That run is followed by a trip to the Emirates but they don’t face Arsenal till boxing day and that’s gameweek 18. With the recent form improved and a run of fixtures that offers potential for a decent return of points Austin could be someone that goes under the radar for a few more weeks yet!
