Gameweek 21 - Daily Fantasy Premier League Tips

Starting 11 is a new Daily Fantasy Premier League football game and app, which has become extremely popular amongst the FPL community since August 2017, as managers get to pick a brand new fantasy team each week, without the headache of managing a season-long team.

As always, this week’s picks are suitable for all fantasy football game formats and will suit most scoring systems, so we hope you find good use for them, whether you’re playing Fantasy Premier League, or daily fantasy games over at Starting 11.

If you’d like to get involved this week by challenging us, simply create your lineups for Gameweek 19 today via the FREE Apple or Android apps.

Safe Pick - Alvaro Morata vs Stoke (H)

Chelsea have been in fantastic form of late but not scored the number of goals they should have without Alvaro Morata in the starting 11.

Well in Gameweek 20, Morata marked his return with a goal in the 2-0 win over Brighton.
With Saturday’s opponents Stoke missing key defensive personnel, it’s not a question of whether Morata will score, but a question of how many?

Differential - Dominic Calvert-Lewin vs Bournemouth (A)

Calvert-Lewin continues to be a nailed on starter under Sam Allardyce whether it’s wide right or through the middle as Everton’s lone striker.

This week, Everton travel to Bournemouth to take on the Cherries who are now without a win in 8 league games.

‘DCL’ will be ready to take advantage of that weak Bournemouth defence and add to the 11 goals they have conceded over their last 3 games

Safe Pick –  Philippe Coutinho vs Leicester (H)

After scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists in only 3 games, the midfielder is starting to catch the eye of fantasy managers on Fantasy Premier League as well as on Starting 11.

Liverpool's opponents Leicester City are winless in their last 3 games, having conceded 7 goals during that period.

With Coutinho, Salah and Firmino in fantastic form I expect Liverpool to continue their goal scoring exploits on Saturday.

Differential Pick – Jesse Lingard vs Southampton (H)

After spending most of his Manchester United career being rotated, Jesse Lingard seems to have secured regular game time in the number 10 role at Old Trafford.

After scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists over 6 games, he went on to prove his value to the team by coming off the bench in Gameweek 20 to score a brace and help his side recover form 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Burnley.

On Saturday, Manchester United host Southampton who haven’t won in their last 7 games and were torn apart by Spurs on Boxing Day, allowing them to score 5 times.

Safe Pick – Cesar Azpillicueta vs Stoke (H)

Alongside Alonso with a reputation for a defender who provides attacking returns, Azpillicueta has been involved in 7 goals this season, scoring once and providing 6 assists.

In addition to this, the clean sheets for Chelsea are also noticeable, shutting their opponents out 3 times in their last 3 games.

With Stoke City having major defensive absentees this weekend, it’s unlikely they will have chance to build much momentum going forward on Saturday, as Chelsea aim to make it 4 clean sheets from 4.

Differential Pick – Ben Mee vs Huddersfield (A)

Everyone’s favourite differential defence this season has been Burnley, cheap on FPL and not utilised enough on Starting 11.

Well after a couple of tough games, Burnley’s fixture this weekend is Huddersfield, a favourable game which must have Sean Dyche targeting a return to those clean sheet lockouts.

Burnley's captain, Ben Mee, may be without an attacking return this season, however he has threatened and my gut says a goal is coming sooner, rather than later.

Safe Pick – David De Gea vs Southampton (H)

Perhaps a false statement at this stage of the season that Manchester United are providing fantasy managers with vital clean sheets points - only 1 clean sheet now in their last 7 games.

This weekend however Southampton are the visitors to Old Trafford, who as mentioned earlier, have failed to win any of their last 7 league games.

With Charlie Austin suspended I expect Manchester United to shut Southampton out on Saturday, with De Gea taking those clean sheet points home for Starting 11 managers.

Differential Pick – Jordan Pickford vs Bournemouth (A)

Everton’s unbeaten run continues, now stretching to 7 games which includes 5 clean sheets for Jordan Pickford.

Their opponents this weekend are Bournemouth who despite scoring 3 vs West Ham on Boxing Day, previously went 3 games without a goal.

‘Big Sam’ continues to make sure Everton get the basics right and with that has created solid foundations for his players to build on.  I expect Everton to keep Bournemouth out and continue their unbeaten run.

Any of Liverpool's 'Fab Four' were a temptation but some Gameweeks you are handed a gift you cannot ignore. This week one of those gifts presents itself in the form of a broken Stoke defence.

Earlier this season Chelsea played Stoke, who were once again without the ineligible Zouma and injured Shawcross, the result was a 4-0 win including a hatrick for Morata.

I expect lightning to strike twice so Morata will carry the armband for me this week in S11.
