Gameweek 8 free to enter £50 game.
Starting 11 has another £50.00 Mini-League free roll this weekend. I’m here to bring you tips and hints on how to make the most of your Daily Fantasy Premier League team, and ever Gameweek.
We all love fantasy football and with a lot of us playing in FPL cash games with family, friends and work colleagues, Starting 11 are offering us the chance to win some fresh cash, every weekend!
What makes Starting 11 special is that there are no player price caps or budget restrictions, which allows you to pack a weekly team with as many premium assets as you want, rather than being forced to own less accomplished players from the bottom end of the table.
If you’d like to get involved this week by challenging myself and many other FPL bosses from the community, simply create your line-ups today by downloading the free Starting 11 app, which is available on both iOS and Android.
This weekend’s Super Sunday has EIGHT teams in action which include some tasty fixtures for Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, you can only choose 11 players though – who will make your Starting 11 line ups.
Below, I (@FPLHints) will show you guys my lineup in advance and offer a few thoughts on which premium and differential players I’m considering.
Once you’ve installed the app and are logged in, please head over to the ‘Mini-League’ tab and there you will see FPLTips’ contest for Sunday 6th October.
As we’ve said above – both the iOS and Android apps are free to download, and the £50.00 Freeroll contest is free to join and play so, there’s nothing to lose.
Sergio Aguero vs. Wolves (H)
I was a huge fan of Wolves last season, but it’s become clear this season that their squad depth isn’t deep enough to attack both the Premier League and Europa League on both fronts – given they play in Turkey on Thursday evening followed by a trip to Manchester City, they are worth targeting for Gameweek 8.
Aguero was rested during Gameweek 7, as Pep Guardiola continues to rotate his pack and ensure his squad stay as fresh as possible in every competition – with a two week break for the Argentine over the international break, I expect Kun to be back in City's Starting 11.
Despite only starting 5 of the opening 7 league games, Aguero has maintained a 100% record of recording either a goal or assist in every Gameweek so far this season – that consistency makes him a must own again vs Wolves.
Many expected Jesus to step in more this season after being awarded the number 9 shirt, however Aguero has proved he’s not finished yet – currently the league’s leading goal scorer on 8 for the season.
It’s not only Aguero who has shown consistency this season, both Aubameyang and Callum Wilson are also yet to blank this season – the both also make my Starting 11 this Sunday.
With Lacazette ruled out until the end of October, now is the time to own Aubameyang – playing centrally rather than being forced out onto the wing for the greater good of this team.
Bournemouth are good fun to watch, they play attractive football, score goals – oh but they love to concede too, they haven’t kept a single clean sheet in the league yet this season.
Clean sheets haven’t been as frequent as we expected this season, in fact many fantasy bosses are now reverting back to 3 defenders as they search for attacking returns instead – but where is the best chance of a clean sheet on Sunday?
I read an interesting stat ahead of Gameweek 7, on how despite failing to keep any clean sheets – Chelsea don’t allow their opposition many chances. Against Brighton that theory we confirmed, their first clean sheet of the season. When Kante returns they will only get stronger at the back.
Of note, Frank Lampard has been singing the praises of centre back Fikayo Tomori, who has stated the last four league games for Chelsea – scoring once in the process.
Our Fantasy Football hero during Leicester City’s title winning season, Mahrez has been wasted at Manchester City. Fortunately he now has an opportunity to stake a claim for a regular starting place.
Having started the last 2 league games, scoring in each as well as a couple of assists vs Watford – Mahrez is on top form.
With De Bruyne now a doubt for the Wolves game and Bernardo Silva at risk of facing a band, I don’t feel Mahrez will be rested – especially with a 2 week break on the horizon.
Get onboard early before everyone else does!
