Eliteserien Fantasy League
For the first time ever, I've decided to play an official version of a fantasy football game other than that of the English Premier League. I've decided to experiment with the Norwegian Eliteserien Fantasy League:
Who Got The Assist? Pod 64 (feat. FPL Stag) - Beaches and Free Hits
This week, with Nick called away for work last minute, FPL Stag (or Anthony to his ma) kindly steps off the bench once more to join Tom as co-host.
We discuss which teams are donning their flip-flops and heading to the beach, and the repercussions of this absence of motivation for FPL managers.
We also take long, hard look at our own Free Hit strategies compared to next week's Free Hitters, providing our thoughts on our teams and advice for Free Hitting generally in the process.
We also catch up with the Market forces, the Nick Pick, and All-Englands before taking some questions.

FotMob is a matchday companion app. Whether you're in the stands or out and about - you'll never miss a moment! Live scores, in-depth match stats, and breaking news keep you updated, wherever you are.
The latest feature update from FotMob brings live FPL points into the app. You can now follow along with every match and see real-time FPL points in the same place! Simply open a match of your choice, swipe to the lineups tab and tap the 'FANTASY' toggle on the left.
With all the FPL points for a match on one screen, you no longer have to hunt for each match's top performers. Keep an eye on your transfer targets, spot the under-the-radar defender and keep tabs on the players that have an easy run of fixtures ahead.
Also, customizable alerts can notify you whenever a Premier League goal is scored, or when one of your front three score, assist, or start on the bench. Simply go to a league or player profile and tap the bell icon to enable alerts.

FPL: Five to watch in GW30 – Man City to keep up their momentum?
After some midweek Champions League VAR-nage, the Premier League is back in focus this weekend. With just nine games remaining for most clubs, it’s safe to say we are approaching the business end of the season. That is also the case in FPL terms. We are getting very close to chip time but before all of that, it looks like a good weekend for premium FPL assets.
Winnable home games for Manchester City and Liverpool bring both to the forefront of FPL plans, whilst a big game between Arsenal and Man Utd throws a spanner in the works.
It’s important to remember that week 31 will see only 10 teams play whilst week 32 will see a lot of teams play twice. Those fixtures are yet to be announced which makes it difficult to plan for – personally, I’ll be using the free hit chip, but more on that next week.
Here are five players to look out for in fantasy football this week:
1) Sergio Aguero (Man City, Forward, £11.8m)
Pep Guardiola is the natural enemy of the FPL player. After his comments last week that Aguero was “exhausted” he then played 90 minutes, only being replaced for stoppage time by the returning Gabriel Jesus. On the plus side for those who opted to go without him, he didn’t score. On the negative side, the conundrum rolls over for another week. Man City host Watford, who of course shipped six at Anfield recently. The champions have the bit between their teeth now and many will expect them to win this match and by some margin. Attacking assets are a must. Aguero’s record at home this year in incredible. Seven goals in the last three games really speaks for itself and if Watford are going to be porous, you can guarantee Aguero will take advantage. But will he play?

Daily Fantasy Football Tips - Gameweek 30
Starting 11 is a new Daily Fantasy Premier League football game and app, which has gained in popularity since last year as managers get to pick a brand new fantasy team each week, without the headache of managing a season-long team.
As always, this week’s picks are suitable for all fantasy football game formats and will suit most scoring systems, so we hope you find good use for them, whether you’re playing Fantasy Premier League, or daily fantasy games over at Starting 11.

FORWARDS
Safe Pick – Aguero vs Watford (H)
Would you dare not owning Sergio Aguero in a home fixture? During his last three home league fixtures the Argentine has scored a staggering SEVEN goals.
Some say he’s tired and that Jesus is fit and ready to take his place? We all know the risks with Pep but for me Aguero is a risk worth taking, besides on Starting 11 if he doesn’t start you can swap him out!
With relatively easy ties in the Champions League and FA Cup, I see those fixtures as the ones Jesus gets his chance – for now Manchester City need to keep the pressure on Liverpool and to do that they need Sergio Aguero's presence.
Differential Pick - Vardy vs Fulham (H)
Brendan Rodgers started his Leicester City reign with a defeat, however he has come out and said that Vardy is key to his plans and even a Leicester side in poor form can’t stop Vardy from being a nuisance to an opposition defence.
Since the sacking of Puel, Vardy has scored two goals in two games and this week faces Fulham.
Fulham are on a five game losing streak, conceding twelve goals in the process – can Vardy continue his party?
MIDFIELDERS
Safe Pick - Pogba vs Arsenal (A)
Away to Arsenal a safe pick? Well that defence isn’t exactly water tight and with a fixture as important as this one it will take a big ego to step up and take control - egos don’t come much bigger than Paul Pogba.
A win this weekend would really put Manchester United in the driving seat for that final Champions League Qualification spot, giving them the chance to kick on and push for third in the league.
Pogba will want to put last weekend’s penalty miss behind him and be the hero once again.
Differential – Maddison vs Fulham (H)
One player who really deserves to be noticed even during the poor performances under Puel is James Maddison. No player has created more chances this season than him and he continues to sparkle from his number 10 position.
Has that creativity converted into fantasy returns? Not really. With only one assist during his last six games – however the stats suggest this could change.
He has the form (at least from creating chances if not recording assists), he certainly has the fixture – I think a Maddison and Vardy double up is worth a punt this week.
DEFENDERS
Safe Pick – van Dijk vs Burnley (H)
The best defender in the world right now? This is the question being thrown around lately and I have even heard Manchester United fans backing the Dutch centre-back.
Van Dijk has turned this Liverpool defence around rapidly, with the reds keeping four clean sheets from their last four games.
Burnley may have turned a corner lately but I fear Liverpool will be too much for them and Klopp will want a reaction after the draw against rivals Everton. Van Dijk is certainly here for his potential clean sheet points but let’s not forget he also scored twice against Watford last week.
Differential – Wan-Bissaka vs Brighton (H)
Wan-Bissaka is something of a fantasy football hero already and has a great future ahead of him playing at the top level.
After a short absence through injury, Wan-Bissaka returned last weekend to provide an assist in the 3-1 win over Burnley.
With nine clean sheets this season let’s see if Crystal Palace can make it ten vs Brighton this weekend.
GOALKEEPERS
Safe Pick – Allison vs Burnley (H)
The best defence in the league deserves a defensive stack this week as Allison joins van Dijk at the back, I’d even be half tempted to throw Robertson and Alexander-Arnold in the mix too – go big or go home!
Allison has had his wobbles at times this season, but in comparison to his predecessors he has been a huge success.
Having seventeen clean sheets from twenty nine Premier League appearances in your debut season is a fantastic achievement and along with van Dijk, has made Liverpool title challengers.
Differential – Boruc vs Huddersfield (A)
Since being given his opportunity during Gameweek 23, Boruc went on to keep a clean sheet during his first two games between the sticks.
Since then the clean sheets have dried up but his performances have continued to impress and the number of saves he is making have helped fantasy football managers justify the lack of clean sheets.
This week Bournemouth travel to goal shy Huddersfield Town, sitting bottom of the Premier League table, thirteen points from safety and having scored only fifteen goals during twenty-nine league games.

This week, we're talking about the key men for the upcoming blank gameweek, with many a transfer plan hinging which strategies managers are choosing to navigate the next few fixtures.
Accordingly, we take a deep dive into Bournemouth, Leicester and West Ham with several of their key players on the table right now, as well as looking at Chelsea.

FPL: Five to watch in GW29 – Hazard to punish Fulham, Man City to keep up the pressure?
The midweek Premier League fixtures have barely been digested but already it is time to turn our attention to the weekend. Fantasy managers have had plenty to contend with recently. The fixture pile up has seen squad rotation, injuries and blanks but all 20 teams take to the field this weekend. Where will the points come from?
It’s far from a straight forward weekend. There are two derbies to contend with. Arsenal make the short trip to Spurs on Saturday whilst Everton host the Merseyside derby on Sunday. How do we pick through this minefield to find the points?
Here are five players who could score big for you in game week 29.
1) Eden Hazard (Chelsea, Midfield, £10.8m)
If you could hand pick a team to play against at the moment, I think you’d say Fulham. The Cottagers seem in total disarray and not just defensively. They’ve gone from being a team who scores a lot and concede more to just being a team who concede a lot. With that in mind, it seems like the ideal opponent for Eden Hazard.
